"Lakehouse, my thirteenth collection for Windham Fabrics, is full of meaning to me. I designed it, in part, while on vacation with my family at my brother’s lake house in North Carolina. It was a summer of walking around grocery stores and stopping in every little ice cream shop we could find, of sitting in the back of the docked boat (we’re not boat people yet, but we’re dock people), of watching my grown children find love and be such good humans. It was a summer of reality TV, mahjong, music, and paddle boards: just us. The lake became a magical stage set for our togetherness.

Lake time is dreamy, and I hope these prints inspire you to create something full of surprise for your own life. The palette speaks to Fourth of July reverie, muted yet bright, the many shades of blue balanced by pops of cherry and khaki. " ~ xoxo, Carrie Bloomston
