Kate Rebecca Leach is the contemporary artist, author, and surface pattern designer behind UK-based studio Essoldo Design. Reflecting a background in textiles, she blends a love of vibrant watercolour with mixed media elements. Much of her work is inspired by nature, from flowers and greenery, to gemstones & jewels. She’s obsessed with embellishment, so her work often features a myriad of dots and metallic decorations.

Kate has built a community of over 280,000 engaged social media followers, sold her work in more 35 countries worldwide, and licensed products across the UK, Europe, and the USA. Her best-selling book, Creative Abstract Watercolor, is now available in 7 languages, and her second book Creative Abstract Mixed media, has already topped the watercolour book charts.
