Kassie Kussman
Kassie Kussman is a Cherokee metalsmith, jewelry designer, and graphic artist whose work bridges traditional Southeastern design with modern storytelling. Known for her intricate copper pieces and geometric motifs. Kassie’s art reflects the balance between heritage and innovation, transforming ancestral symbolism into contemporary form.
Through her brand, Mean Right Hook, she explores the dialogue between earth and sky, material and memory, creating pieces that honor Indigenous identity and craftsmanship. Copper Sky, her debut fabric collection, extends that vision into textiles, a continuation of her journey to preserve, reinterpret, and celebrate Southeastern pattern through a modern Native voice. Kassie is a Native artist in full compliance with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act (IACA) of 1990.
