  • Under Making the Eagle Block
    • 35013-1 Blue
      - Sub-cut 72 (NOT 212) pieces 2 ¾” X 2 ¾” from the 2 ¾” X WOF strips.
    • 35013-3 Red
      - Sub-cut 68 (NOT 208) pieces 2 ¾” X 2 ¾” from the 2 ¾” X WOF strips.
    • 35014-1 Blue
      - Sub-cut 212 (NOT 70) pieces 2 ¾” X 5” from the 2 ¾” X WOF strips.
    • 35014-3 Red
      - Sub-cut 208 (NOT 70) pieces 2 ¾” X 5” from the 2 ¾” X WOF strips.
  • Under Step 1 - Making Flying Geese Units
    Place a 2 ¾” X 2 ¾” square of 35014-1 (NOT 35013-1) Blue right sides together (RST) on the left side of a  2 ¾” X 5” rectangle of 35013-1 (NOT 35014-1) Blue.  Draw a diagonal line on the back of the 2 ¾” square from bottom left to top right.  Sew on the line and trim leaving a 1/4” seam allowance. Flip and press.

    Next place a 2 ¾” X 2 ¾” square of 35014-1 (NOT 35013-1) Blue RST on the right side of rectangle.  Draw a diagonal line on the back of the 2 ¾” square from top left to bottom right.  Sew on the line and trim leaving a 1/4” seam allowance.  Flip and press.

  • Under Step 2 - Making block top and bottom units
    Sew one 2 ¾” square of 35014-3 (NOT 35013-3) Red to each end of a Type A flying geese unit as shown - Make 36 units. Repeat the process using a 2 ¾” square of 35013-1 Blue and a Type C flying geese units -   Make 34 units.
