We have found that the fabric not being printed as perfect as needed for cutting this project, to revise a few details so that it is easier to make. The project has been corrected on the website and it might be best to download the latest version as it will be much easier to work from the revised version. If you have an older copy, please note the additional corrections and recommendations. These are in ADDITION to the corrections already made to this project.

Fabric Requirements

33761-3 Blue – increase to Ό (NOT 1/8) yard
33761-1 Red -  increase to 1 (NOT Ύ ) yard

Making the Corner Blocks

Cutting

Sub-cut sixteen pieces 4 ” (NOT 4 ½”) from the 4” (not 4 ½”) strips of 33761-2 Green

Assembly

Place a 4” square of 33761-2 Green on each corner RST and align the raw edges.  Draw a diagonal line on the back of each square and sew on the line as shown.  Flip the triangles open, press and trim the excess leaving a 1/4” seam allowance on the back. Repeat for the other tree square and the 2 snowman squares (NOT Repeat for the other three blocks.)

For the scenic corner blocks follow the same procedure substituting the fussy cut scenes from the all over design as the centers and 33761-4 Dark Blue for 33761-1 Red and 33761-1 Red for 33761-2 Green.  Make 4 scenic corner blocks. (This is a new sentence to replace the old one)

Making the Snowman Stripe Borders

Cutting

Sub-cut four of the 3” strips of 33761-4 Dark blue to 41 1/2”.
Sub-cut four of the 3” strips of the 33761-4 Dark blue to 36 1/4”

Assembly

Sew eleven (NOT  ten)of the fussy cut 4 1/2” X 4 1/2” snowmen….

Final Assembly of the quilt

We changed the wording of the lines so please use this part instead of what was originally written.
-Sew the 18 1/4” striped inner borders to the top and bottom of the center panel.
-Sew a Christmas tree block to the top and a Snowman block to the bottom of one of the side 23 1/2" striped borders being careful of orientation.  Repeat for the second border reversing the tree and snowman blocks.
-Sew the side inner border with the corner block in place.
-Sew the 36 1/4” top and bottom snowman borders in place.
-Sew the scenic corner blocks to the top and bottom of the snowman side borders.
-Sew the snowman border/scenic corner block units in place for the version you are making.

**We have also added a version where the snowmen borders are NOT fussy cut on the right and left sides. We labeled it as VERSION 2. Any Version 2 instructions on the project are indicated in Red and labeled.

We appreciate the attention the Winter Wonderland collection and this pattern has created. We realize now that this pattern is NOT very kit friendly as it has a lot of fussy cutting that requires time and labor on the part of the maker. We are working on an easier version that would be good for kitting. Please note before proceeding.
