Open Space along with the Stenographer's Notebook batik collection emerged from two artist books I have been gradually developing over the years. I am always on the hunt for paper, especially old paper with handwriting and over the years I overlaid paintings and sketches onto the pages not knowing where it would lead. This print became a spot to sneak in favorites like the little golden triangles, a nod to the gold leaf found on the vintage papers.
