Patty graduated from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan with a BFA, and practiced her teaching career from Michigan to Massachusetts. Patty's artistic hands have explored various aspects of old world techniques, but her love of design returned her to interior design and specialized in Historic Restoration in New England.

Fabric became her passion with the discovery of quilting. The appliqué quilt, however, has claimed her attention since 1998, and after many years of lovingly creating her own designs, she began reproducing the antique quilts found woven into the history of the United States.

The reproduction of several quilts from The State Museum of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pa and replication of The Wickersham Quilt, c. 1850, produced a book that has found great success with those interested in historic quilt patterns.
