Sporting the authentic look of tea-stained, time-worn
fabrics, these Americana designs are a delight for
traditionalists of all ages. Old Glory III offers a
shirting-like flavor with small repetitive designs in
popular 1850s motifs on a palette of deep reds, blues
and browns. Reflecting on a time of great exploration
and settlements, these prints are of an era when
emigrants were heading West, bound for the gold fields
of California. Although silk fabrics became more popular
as more trade opportunities became available with the
orient, they were not appropriate nor sturdy enough for
the trials and tribulations of everyday living. This
collection is a more accurate depiction of the fabrics
typically worn during these trying times.
