The Generation collection is the
common "thread" for stitching past, present
and future generations together. Beginning with fabrics
representative of the late 18th century and quilts which
were started by grandmother(s), these quilts usually
spanned at least three generations. Started by one
generation, passed down to a daughter and eventually to
a granddaughter, generational quilts encompassed popular
fabrics of the era during which they were sewn.
Perhaps the quilt was only sewn at
special family get togethers...or maybe grandma's quilt
was found in an old cedar chest in the attic and revived
for completion...each is rich in its own unique personal
family history.
Generation is a special collection of
fabrics found on original multi-generational quilts,
with characteristics popular during the centuries that
bridged families together.
